The Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term (60-90 days) therapeutic program that provides intensive psychiatric services to children and adolescents with mental health issues. The program is designed for children who need more intensive treatment than is available on a strictly outpatient basis or offered in traditional classroom settings. Partial provides a safe environment for children to share life experiences and learn appropriate ways to handle them. This highly structured environment is offered as a step down from in-patient hospitalization or to prevent hospitalization.
